Fast Weight Loss and How to Achieve It

Most people believe that they can achieve fast weight loss by skipping meals. This is as far from the truth as possible. Those who do so usually overeat at the next meal and destabilize the glycemic index and several other metabolism-related factors.

The metabolic rate decreases while sleeping and gets back to the normal value only after the first meal. Breakfast is the most important meal, as it provides the necessary energy to get through the day. A 350-calorie will reestablish the normal metabolic rate and will stabilize it for the entire day. Foods recommended for fast weight loss include:

Whole grain cereals
Egg whites
Fruits

All these are high in fiber and carbohydrates and will suppress the sensation of hunger quickly. The main explanation to this is that carbohydrates, unlike fats, are assimilated by the body at a slower rate. Eating before bedtime, on the other hand, is not recommended, since food turns into fat when no physical activity is performed.

It is also recommended to have 5 or 6 small meals instead of 3 large meals. This measure needs to be taken in order to keep metabolism active throughout the entire day. Digestion is improved this way, as you prevent your stomach from being empty. Meals should have a period of 3 to 4 hours between them. Dinner needs to be rich in proteins, as these are even more difficult to dissolve than carbs and fats. Since the body needs to burn calories in order to break down proteins, you will be able to achieve fast weight loss. Several foods rich in proteins are:

Chicken
Tuna
Fish
Legumes

Spices will temporarily improve metabolism by setting free adrenaline and some other stress hormones. Burning calories can be easily done by consuming jalapenos and cayenne peppers with regularity. Spices also act as appetite suppressors, so as long as you use them frequently and you follow a low-fat diet. However, the sodium intake needs to be maintained low, in order to avoid high blood pressure and heart diseases.

Water also plays an important role, as food digestion and metabolism, in general, require it. In fact, the more water you drink, the higher your metabolic rate will be. At least 2 liters a day need to be consumed. Consider increasing this amount if you do physical activities.

Diet needs to be associated with physical exercises in order to improve metabolism even more. Lifting weights or working with fitness equipment helps fast weight loss, but you need to assure a proper calorie intake, in order to have the necessary energy for these. Cardiovascular exercises need to be combined with strength workout, in order to get rid of the extra fat and not muscles. Also, make sure that you get enough sleep, so your body functions adequately.

Controlling the metabolic rate and the calorie intake is the key to fast weight loss. However, in order to achieve your ultimate goal, you need to make sure that you have certain eating habits and that you avoid dangerous foods.
